A Week of "Firsts"

The week of the 4th of July was an exciting week of "Firsts" for Ellis. On Sunday night our little family of three went to see the firework show at Cross Church in Rogers. We parked in a lot across from the church, opened the back hatch and enjoyed the show!

On Wednesday, July 4th, we went out to the lake to celebrate the holiday with Matt's family. It was Ellis' first major holiday.  We ate a ton of food (as always) and did small fireworks off the dock. We mainly did smoke bombs, poppers and sparklers because of the burn ban. Ellis wasn't really phased by the fireworks, she just enjoyed being outside.

Matt's family was at the lake house from Wednesday through Sunday. We decided to stay the night out there on Thursday night so Ellis had her first sleepover! It was so much easier to pack up shop and spend the night. That way we were able to get "maximum" lake time on Friday! (Can you tell we LOVE our time at the lake?!?!)

On Friday, Ellis had her final "first" of the week, going to a wedding! Matt's cousin, Rachel, got married on Friday night to Jonathan. They are such a cute couple and we are so happy for them!

We had such a great week and are loving all of these "firsts" with our girl!

Ellis at One Month

It's hard to believe but Ellis was one month on June 30th. The last month has flown by and we love having our little girl! Here are some pictures of our growing girl and what she's up to at one month!

This is what was going on before the last picture

Ellis, at your 1 month appointment you weighed 7 lbs 0.5 oz and you were 20 1/2 inches.
You're starting to get into a routine. During the day you eat every 2 1/2 hours. After feedings you stay awake for 30-40 minutes before napping. At night you eat every 3 or 4 hours.
This weekend you went 5 hours between feedings one night and 6 another night!
You're pretty easy going unless you're hungry or tired
You enjoy your swing
You enjoy tummy time (if mommy or daddy are close)
You're a cuddle bug! You LOVE to be held!

Ellis,
We just can't get enough of you! We love to give you hugs and kisses. Your smiles are so sweet and you're starting to show your personality. We love you!
Love,
Mommy & Daddy
